About us
Our Story
The vision of Women of the Word Canada was initiated in 2016 when Rev. Dr. Judy Maina, during her visit to Toronto, Canada, felt a divine call to empower women and strengthen families through faith. In 2017, the first women’s conference was held, marking the beginning of a growing movement that now reaches over 1,000 people, including women, men, youth, and children. Over the years, WOW Canada has expanded its impact through faith-based mentorship and discipleship programs, workshops and community events on mental health, financial literacy, and family support, pastoral care and visitations for individuals in crisis, and support for newcomers and immigrant families settling in Canada.
